I’ve always enjoyed taking family and friend’s recommendation’s on what to read. Although more recently, with work, my blog, socialising etc. I find it challenging to actually make time to read. This is a constant WIP.
Anyway, I digress..
Let’s start of with today. If you’ve read my previous blog post, you’ll know that I went to Stylist Live this afternoon. I admire Reggie Yates‘ work greatly and couldn’t help buy his first book, Unseen at the Waterstones pop up. I began reading this on the tube back home and honestly speaking, I am really looking forward to picking this up again later this evening.
Sidenote; If you haven’t watched his BBC documentaries (linked above) – you’re missing out!
I have also been reading Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Chimamanda is one of my favourite authors. Her ability to narrate powerful stories that are impossible to put down is inspiring, SHE is a literary genius.
Otegha Uwagba’s Little Black Book is as essential as a little black dress for any working woman. This book is incredibly useful and easy to read! A must have!
Comment with any of your favourite reads!
Thanks, R x
